Easy Back-to-School Breakfast

As a kid, I hated everything about going back to school. Well, everything except getting new school clothes and gel pens. Now that I'm finally entering my senior year of college (It's about time!), I am excited to get back to school. I love the busy schedule, the structure, the learning, and the overall change that going back to school brings.

If your school year schedule is anything like mine, finding time to eat healthy, stick to health goals, or even eat period can be challenging. Today I'm sharing a great recipe for the busy school year. I like to have this breakfast on days when I workout in the morning before work and school because it helps fuel my workouts and keeps me satiated for hours. Another plus to this recipe is that it is highly portable for those who have limited time in their morning routine and like to take their breakfast to-go.

You just need a few inexpensive ingredients. I like the Food for Life Ezekiel wraps because they are flourless and don't spike my blood sugar. I use the smaller size wraps because they are just 1 ounce, which is a proper serving size for grains.

Peanut Butter Banana Breakfast Wrap
By Bailey West

1 Ezekiel wrap (1 oz. size)
1 - 2 T organic peanut butter
1/2 - 1 organic banana
sprinkle of chia seeds

Just spread the peanut butter, layer the sliced banana, sprinkle the chia seeds and BAM. Done. Eat it up and run.

Alongside a nice cup of coffee, this breakfast makes the difference in giving me what I need to take on whatever lies ahead.

Good luck out there, kick today in the face!
