I have been thinking lately about habits and how our habits take up much of our daily life. We spend more time than we probably realize doing the same things day after day. This can be great, or this can hurt us.
Something as simple as having a morning ritual we enjoy can mean a lot for the rest of our day. That is why I love mornings so much. To me, they are sacred. Most days I will get up at least half an hour before I have to so I can ease into the day with alone time, reflection, quiet thoughts and a hot cup of coffee. I know this may sound ridiculous, but some of us are morning people, ya' dig? It also allows me enough time to take care of possible out-of-range blood sugars and make a healthy breakfast for myself to enjoy before I have to answer to anyone but myself.
I look forward to the morning, because of the habits I have created for myself. What are your daily rituals and habits? How did they start and why do you keep them up?
